Roger Hernandez, Southern Union ministerial/evangelism director, initiated preparations for a Gospel caravan in April 2017, and each participating pastor received Bible lessons, PowerPoint presentations, and flyers to promote the caravan.
Hernandez preached for five consecutive days in a different city, starting the evening of August 22, 2017, in Warsaw, N.C.; Raleigh, N.C., on August 23; Charlotte, N.C., on August 24; Columbia, S.C., on August 25; and Dalton, Ga., on Sabbath morning, August 26. The grand finale was at Berean Church in Atlanta, Ga., where more than 400 attendees celebrated with music, baptism, and fellowship.
Pastors Kircio Mota, Luis Espinosa, Jorge Quintiana, Abraham Acosta, John Newlove, Ismael Uribe, Jose Reyes, and Efrain Poloche reported 50 baptisms as a result of the entire caravan. All of these pastors praise God for the results.
