An average person has his ups and downs in life; sometimes he feels alone and lost. A Seventh-day Adventist adult has a sense of wonder about God just like a child may have a sense of wonder toward the infinite darkness.
I am not a majorly religious person, though my curiosity about God grows larger every year I am alive. I am raised by two Adventist parents who both love and praise God, but I am different. I ignore God and His Word on a daily basis. I even sometimes call it out as fake and full of lies. I am a normal teen going through high school years, living every day like anyone else would, without much thought about religion. Well, that’s what I thought.
My mind asks many questions, though, and there is one that I couldn’t answer: Does God really exist? Every day I asked myself this question, but got nowhere.
My family and their church group decided to go to the 2019 Oshkosh event. I didn’t want to go, but that wasn’t an option. I came to Oshkosh with no hope.
After four days of trying to experience the Lord, I found an answer to the question that bugged me for so long! The Lord has a way to unite people from all over the world to do the same thing. Praise His name! I found something in myself I would have not been able to without His guidance. I can see why people are able to follow Him and His ways, and why people who believe are some of the happiest people on Earth.
