We are also Chosen. In 2005, our church saw the need to create the club due to having 2 kids having met the pathfinder’s age requirement. So the club started with 2 pathfinders and 3 staff, and although we did not know how to name our club, we think the Lord sent us the bible text 1 Peter 2:9 and hence our club name was born: “Chosen”.
It has been 14 years of hard work and many blessings, and the once small club that started 14 years ago has now become the home and identity of many children, youth and adults who have passed through their ranks, and have become the leaders they are today. We can say that so far God has helped us.
Five years ago, at the end of “Forever Faithful” camporee when they announced the next theme title for the 2019 camporee as Chosen (our club name), we got so excited that the Chosen name for the camporee would be like our club name.
It is our third time in Oshkosh. This time we have a group of 40 members between Pathfinders and Staff. Being in Oshkosh means more than a regular pathfinder due to the fact that we once started off as a small club of 2 members and by going to Oshkosh, the experience of each of us pathfinders has grown so much for the past years that know we have more club members, but also more people that believe in God and accept him as their savior.
