This week at Oshkosh has been full of mixed emotions.
Like I can’t even explain how much things I have felt here.
But on Day 1 – We have arrived at Oshkosh. We came down with another church called Mountainside. They mainly let us come with them because my family and I are related to the Directors.
We didn’t really do much on the first day just set up and explored the place just to be familiar. On Day 2, we definitely did more than we did on day 1. We got our Club pins and the pins from out uniform. So we really just did pin trading that day.
On Day 3, we did a couple of honors and met the Mongolians that our conference (Georgia-Cumberland) sponsored to help them get to their first Oshkosh.
The honor that I felt the most for was the Adaptive sports honor. The honor helps us learn about professional disabled athletes. I felt for this because I have several disabled people in my family, but I still play games with them. But at my school I’m on my schools Flag football team and our manager is a student who is still healing from scoliosis, and she participates in exercises with us.
I also decided to visit my old church in Canada. When they saw me they were extremely happy, came crowding around me, it was rather overwhelming but I felt much loved.
Today is Day 4, and this is the first event we have done, and I must say I am memorized by the Southern Tidings pin it is really amazing. Overall I have loved Oshkosh so far and hope for the rest of the week to go by smooth.
