The three-church Hispanic district, which includes Lawrenceville Central, North Gwinnett, and Winder First churches in Georgia, has been closed during COVID-19 just like everyone else. A dedicated team of 10 people has been helping transmit church services every Saturday through Facebook, including the study of the Sabbath School lesson and the worship service.
The church members record the church service from a church to help the members feel as if they are experiencing traditional worship. The Lawrenceville, Gwinnett, and Winder church district has a membership of approximately 450 members. They were pleasantly surprised that the first Sabbath online they had more than 2,000 people watching, and that number has now grown to about 10,000.
In March the pastor also performed a marriage ceremony prior to the baptism of a church member who had postponed her baptism for many years. She decided now was the right time for both her baptism and marriage.
These are difficult times, but GOD is still working and doing wonderful things.
