The Breath of Life Ministries “All the Way In” Revival ended with the joyous sound of praise as 54 individuals were baptized in Charlotte, N.C., on Sabbath, July 23, 2022. The meeting in Charlotte was in person, but was also streamed online throughout the South Atlantic Conference as well as to the Breath of Life worldwide streaming platforms. Countless more decisions were made online for Bible study, baptism, and to follow Christ all the way.
The two-week, city-wide evangelistic effort was the first one led by Debleaire Snell, pastor and Breath of Life speaker/director. “All the Way In” was the theme, which challenged those who attended to go deeper in their walk with Christ. The meeting was co-sponsored by the South Atlantic Conference, under the direction of William Winston, president of South Atlantic, and was held at Trinity Worship Center, whose pastor is Daniel Kelly. While the nightly meetings were at Trinity, the revival was a city-wide effort, and area pastors and churches worked together to pull off the evangelistic endeavor.
“This revival was a demonstration of what happens when committed servants focus on the mission of Jesus Christ. The Charlotte ministry volunteers worked with an enthusiasm and an eagerness that was contagious,” said Snell, who preached for 10 nights during the meetings. “We experienced the visitation of God’s Spirit on a nightly basis.”
During the first week, Kurt Carr, gospel music recording artist, was the musical guest, which helped to generate a huge turnout. The second week, Geoffrey Golden led out in a season of worship, which prepared the hearts of those who were listening. Dinner was served nightly at 6 p.m., feeding on average 300 guests. The children’s ministries provided programming for children ages 4-12, and youth ministries catered to the teens with activities and discussions specific to their needs.
During the final nights of the revival, Snell continued to pray for and call those who needed salvation to come forward for baptism. There were several nights where weather threatened the attendance and flooded the roof of the tent where the food was served, but God continued to move and the people kept coming out. On the final Sabbath of the meeting, the baptisms took place and there was a collective joyful sound in the sanctuary. Among that group of 54 baptisms was a family of eight and a couple who would be married the following day.
“One of the highlights of this meeting was getting into the pool to baptize the souls we had been laboring for in prayer,” said Snell. “The individuals that were won to Christ were the result of the moving of God’s Spirit, not human ingenuity or gifting. It was one of my great joys to work with the Charlotte area pastors and churches to help grow God’s work.
