The Louisville Southside Hispanic Company rejoiced on April 28, 2018. On that day, the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference organized them from a company to church status.
Just a year before, the company was told they could no longer rent the building they were using. This was not only discouraging, but also put them in jeopardy of disbanding. As they struggled to find a new place to meet, the Lord presented an opportunity to rent a church building with the option to buy.
Members of the congregation praised God as Steve Haley, president of the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference; Armando de Leon, Hispanic coordinator; and Walkyr Montilla, pastor, presented the news that the company had been granted church status. The Louisville Southside Hispanic Church was organized with 62 members.
