Earlier this year, Junefel Nalzaro started her new role as undertreasurer for the Georgia- Cumberland Conference. Nalzaro is no stranger to Georgia-Cumberland, previously serving as the assistant treasurer for payroll for the Conference.
“Nalzaro has demonstrated excellent skills in accounting, a strong desire to serve the Lord, along with a high level of integrity,” says Kurt Allen, vice-president for finance for the Conference.
Nalzaro brings extensive experience to her new role, not only with her knowledge of Georgia-Cumberland, but also having previously worked in several accounting roles at Southeastern California Conference, Heritage Academy, and Davao Adventist Hospital in the Philippines.
Since graduating with an accounting degree, Nalzaro says she can see God leading and preparing her for her new role. Nalzaro has had several types of jobs, working as a cashier, a bookkeeper, and accountant. Each position was a stepping stone, giving her additional experience and knowledge. “God prepared me from the very beginning to where He wants me,” she said.
Allen agrees. “We know that God has chosen her and uniquely gifted her to serve in this important role as undertreasurer,” he said.
For Nalzaro, she sees each person as her customer, from church pastors and treasurers, to employees and outside vendors. “I just want to serve them and show a Christian character,” she said.
