South Charlotte Hispanic Organized as Church During Joyful Ceremony
The South Charlotte Company became an official church on August 27, 2022, marking a joyous, significant moment in the life of the congregation. This event was attended by both Bryan Arvelo, who previously served as associate pastor coach for the company, and Julio Flores, former senior pastor coach. Narcedalia Garcia, the volunteer lay leader of the church, took time to recount the history of the church and how God led them.
In her presentation, Garcia recounted the miraculous ways in which God brought the congregation to this point, much like the Israelites of old. She also expressed her joy that her relatives from Mexico were present to celebrate this special moment. Gary Moyer, vice president of administration for the Carolina Conference, shared the message, “High Hopes,” which highlighted God’s purpose for establishing the church.
The congregation was asked to respond to four questions, after which the core group was officially formed. Flores invited the church’s leaders to come forward for a prayer of dedication. The whole congregation participated in an antiphonal reading, accepting the commitment to faithfulness to God, fulfilling the Great Commission, and being Christ’s disciples.
After the formal proceedings, a delicious lunch was served, and all the participants were invited to attend.
This event was a moment of great significance for the South Charlotte Hispanic Church. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in the church’s history and highlighted their commitment to fulfilling God’s purpose. The dedication and passion of the church’s leaders and members were evident in their joyful celebration of this occasion. They are an example of how faith, commitment, and dedication can lead to great success.
